Wishing to help those interested in insects and having in mind lack of literature in Serbian, we prepared specialized entomological vocabulary. Web page is available in Serbian.
Database jubilee
Database on insects of Serbia exceeded 100 000 records! It contains 5000 species and thousands of photographs. More on the database in Activities.
E-books
In accordance with the times, we prepare electonic editions on wildlife of Serbia. So far, Serbian, English and Dutch version of Butterfly field guide are ready. We hope number of titles will grow fast. Here you can find what e-books…
Symposium of Serbian Entomological society
Jelena Šeat and Miloš Popović took part at symposium of Serbian Entomological society, held at Tara Mt. They presented HabiProt’s database ‘Alciphron’ and BioRas portal, a joint venture with other Serbian NGOs.
XVIII annual European congress of lepideptorology
Blagoevgrad in Bulgaria was a host of European congress of lepideptorology. HabiProt was represented by Miloš Popović who presented an interesting paper on butterflies of Stara Planina. New contacts were made and possible cooperation discussed.
Conservation camps 2013
In 2013 we organized two conservational camps where visitors from the Netherlands helped us learn more on insufficiently known regions of Serbia. Our members also took part in traditional camps in Temska, Ludaš and Zasavica.
Moth website
We’ve started a big job to compile a check-list of Serbian moths and make it available on the net. Check progress here.
Krupac camp
From April 27 till May 5 2012 in Krupac, Sićevo gorge, we were hosts to biology students from Ljubljana university. More than 50 guests divided into 8 groups researched different segments of flora and fauna. Several HabiProt members helped guests…
European moth nights
European moth nights is traditional event aimed at popularization of these insects. Enthusiasts from many countries cooperate and come to know each other. HabiProt members regularly contribute since 2006. National coordinator is Dragan Vajgand.
